The 'muscle trains' for EBS

Currenty we are working on a new trim for German freight operator Erfurter Bahnservice EBS. "We" because this is done in a joint-venture with OnTrack from Denmark. Design power united! You can check out their work by clicking on the logo below:

For the first time we bring unity to a fleet that comprises both new and classic locomotives. Also new, the "classic" locomotives are painted, and not wrapped. Those paint skills!

In the design, new and existing elements were combined. A new horizontal version of the existing logo was developed. The EBS brand is defined by its sportiness, forwardness, its power and its connection to history.

The main visual element the "muscle", the large red trapeziod shape that brings all elements together. EBS locomotives have to show their muscles everyday, and now it shows.

The project started with the all-new large six-axle EuroDual locomotive, leased from ELP. The second stage was creating designs that evoke the same feeling, yet applied to very different locomotives; Baureihe 143 and 155, icons of the former German Deutsche Reichsbahn.

The Karsdorf workshops made it possible to create similar designs for these locomotive types with an exquisite paintjob. The black, red, white, it is all paint.
